Some employees have been contributing to AMS for more than 15, 20, 25+ years; others are new hires offering insights and experience from other companies. All are critical to our success. AMS employees represent a great range of cultures, capabilities and professional backgrounds ... much like the great diversity in our patient population. Meet some of our team members here.

I like working at AMS because it is a growing company committed to doing high quality work and helping people who are suffering. I have been here three years.
Muna Sharif
Operations

As an AMS sales representative, I get great satisfaction from the relationships I have established with physicians. AMS' proven track record for safe and effective products has allowed me to gain rapport with the medical community.
Mark Smieja
Territory Manager

The goal of AMS is to enable patients to keep a higher quality of life. People here are absolutely conscious that patient quality of life is affected by the products that we work on. We have a real team environment. It's a pretty dynamic group and I enjoy working with them.

As a patient liaison, there's nothing more satisfying than hearing from a patient expressing gratitude and happiness that they can now participate in nearly everything they want to. It's great when patients say, "This is the greatest thing that has ever happened to me. Thank you, AMS!"

AMS has integrity. It's ethical in its relationships with customers, employees and other associates. We are always striving to do things better, to be the best. We have good people here... smart, well-educated people ... people who are fun to work with, too.
Elizabeth Rae
Senior Patient Liaison

I make prototypes and test fixtures for the development lab as well as production assembly figures for manufacturing. We fabricate with steel, aluminum and plastics, all linked to our CAD/CAM software to create even the most complex parts.

AMS enables us to attend surgeries. It helps us identify more fully with the patient and also provides opportunity for us to see how we can make an improvement to an accessory or tool used to facilitate the surgery. The fact that the products have a major effect on patient quality of life is a driving force for me. I have close relatives with some of these disorders. That's a motivator, too.
Kevin Watts
Model Maker

I am a mechanical engineer. My role is to expand and improve our product line for male bladder control and to develop new products - bringing in the latest technology and methods to improve patient lives. One of the innovations I have developed is a quick connect for the AMS double-cuff sphincter used for severe incontinence. The physician now can clip a connector in place instead of tying six sutures.
Kevin Arnal
Principal Development Engineer, Male Bladder Control

My job is to ensure that our products are properly sterilized before shipment. I monitor the temperature, time and pressure to meet exact requirements for each batch. Everything is recorded in detail. I enjoy every day I come to work. The people in my department cooperate to help each other. We share ideas and experiences - improving anything that can be improved to do the job better.
