AMS 650TM and 600M TM
Malleable Penile Prostheses
The AMS 650TM and 600MTM malleable penile prostheses offer easy-to-use, low-cost options for many patients—especially those with limited dexterity. These implants are always rigid, but their flexibility allows the patient to position them in an erect or concealed position. Designed to make the penis rigid enough for sexual intercourse and to not interfere with pleasurable sensation, orgasm or ejaculation.

Advantages for Physicians
  • Single-component design requires less time in the operating room
  • Stainless steel wire core for excellent rigidity
  • Tapered silicone elastomer body for natural shape
  • Separate rear tip extenders for specific sizing
  • Opportunity for outpatient implantation
Advantages for Patients
  • Maintains stiff erection without buckling
  • Shaped to provide excellent girth
  • Excellent for men with limited dexterity
Device Mechanics
The AMS 650 and AMS 600M penile prostheses consist of two silicone elastomer rods made from:
  • A stainless steel wire core surrounded by braided polyester suture
  • A tapered silicone elastomer body
  • An external removable silicone jacket
The 600M rods measure a consistent girth all along the rod, up the beginning of the tip. The 650 rods are tapered at both the proximal and distal ends with the widest measurement occurring at mid-shaft, to provide excellent girth.
